1.   Eleven schools that reported enrollment for the doctoral degree did not report any scholarship or fellowship data or that degree.  To save space in this report those schools are not included in this table.  Schools not reported are:  California – Los Angeles, Drexel, Emporia, Michigan, Missouri, Montréal, Pittsburgh, Simmons, Tennessee, Texas Woman’s, and Wisconsin – Madison.  It is likely that the non-reporting reflects no aid awarded rather than a misrepresentation of the data.  Consequently, if this is the case, the mean figures for aid at the doctoral level would be very different.
